Vendor Spotlight - Mint Springs Farm
The NWPG was fortunate last year to have one of it's meetings at the beautiful Mint Springs Farm. Mint Springs Farm is a gorgeous all-inclusive venue in Nolensville, TN. All of our planners were thrilled to learn more about this lovely location and to explore every perfectly planned out nook and cranny. The owners, Jan Tucker and Lynn Whisenant showed us all a wonderful time and made us very excited to work there! (Click here to see pictures and read more about this fun meeting!) We recently asked Lynn a few questions to help you get more acquainted with this unique wedding venue.
Give us a brief history of Mint Springs Farm.
Jan Tucker and myself came up with the idea of building a venue in January of 2011 and we looked for property all over Williamson county for 8 1/2 months. When we found this piece of property the hair on our arms stood up, we knew we had found it! Mint Springs Farm was a dairy farm that was founded by the Osburn family in the early 1940's, we loved the name and asked if we could keep the name for our venue. We kept the existing house, totally renovated it to be the bridal suite and built everything else from ground up. We started building March 2, 2012 and had our first wedding March 16, 2013 and had 67 weddings from then until December 21, 2013! A fantastic first year with fantastic couples and families.
What makes your venue unique?
We feel that we are unique in that we offer all-inclusive to our couples to the max! We want our couples to feel comfortable in knowing they truly don't have to worry about a thing during this process. We offer a resort type atmosphere for their special day. With the ability to come as early as 10:30, bring their own hair and make-up techs and not have to worry about being so many different places trying to prepare for their day. We also created an amazing space for the groom and his groomsmen, who so often get overlooked. Our couples enjoy the day experiencing love, laughter and excitement... all with no stress!
What are some of your options for weddings and receptions?
We have so many selections of decor for our couples. We strive to collect and continue to purchase new decor and table linen options for our couples. We have collections of so many categories that span from elegant crystal to deer antlers! The fact that they don't have to worry about weather at our venue is a huge comfort as well.
What type of bride would your venue be perfect for?
A bride that wants to be involved with the planning and decor selection, but wants to enjoy her day with family and friends without having to worry about one thing! A bride that wants incredible photo opportunities, beautiful farm and lake views and a farm/barn type atmosphere.
Does your venue require the use of certain vendors or are brides free to bring in their own?
We do require our couples to use our preferred vendors for the most part. We feel that we have incredible vendors that KNOW our facility, are experienced in their field and are fantastic with our couples. Couples are free to bring in outside cake vendors, musicians, photographers, planners and designers.
What event has most creatively taken advantage of your space and what made that event a success?
All of our weddings have been both creative and successful, but one that comes to mind was a couple that had about ten attendants each. They had such a fun day, ALL DAY LONG! The groom and his groomsmen created (and rehearsed in the reception barn) a choreographed dance to surprise the bride at the reception that evening. It was great!!!
What is the most important thing you want brides to know about Mint Springs Farm?
That we TRULY LOVE what we do and with each and every couple we work with we focus on making their day amazing!
