Vendor Spotlight-Marathon Music Works

Marathon Music Works is a well-known music venue in downtown Nashville, but lucky for brides, they offer a wonderful area for weddings and receptions as well!  The venue is a historic place with modern amenities, a perfect area for receptions with a lot of character.  Halie Fisher, the Director of Special Events, answered some questions for us about what Marathon can offer the Nashville wedding industry.  

What made you go into the business of music?

Nashville was in need of a mid-size music event space. We were excited to be involved with a new area such as Marathon Village. The concert / event scene has been in our blood for a long time here and we were passionate about bringing more music to Nashville.

What are all the different ways brides can use you and your company?

We offer ceremony's here as well as receptions. Being in the industry so long we also have wonderful connections for brides to utilize as far as vendors for their special day. We are always honored to meet our new couples and they feel like family to us by the end of the process.

What are some of the different options you offer?

We have an eclectic, modern space that offers many different types of visual elements to an event. Originally built in the 1900’s this is a great location to showcase many different types of events. MMW can accommodate up to 350 for formal seating, 300-900 for cocktail seating, and standing room for up to 1,500 guests. There is no better stage in Nashville for entertainment at receptions as well. The venue has a VIP Mezzanine overlooking the main room, (2) sets of restrooms, (2) bar areas with full bar service, (2) dressing rooms with full bath, a permanent coat check/box office, an unobstructed view of stage, stage, sound & concert lighting, ample parking directly behind venue and along street, a large 80’ deck, a partially furnished catering kitchen, industrial chic interior finish, interior/exterior brick walls, a high beam ceiling, and a modern polished concrete floor. We include in our rental 20 60 inch round tables and 200 chairs, 10 6 foot tables, security for 200, a facility coordinator, and set up / clean up for your brides and grooms. We pride ourselves on making each event personal for whatever they are looking for in their celebrations.
