Vendor Spotlight - Legacy Farms

Today's focus is on a gorgeous 22 acre venue in Lebanon, TN. Legacy Farms hosted the Nashville Wedding Planner's Group last year and totally wowed us with all the beautiful unique spaces it offers for events. For the bride that likes options, Legacy Farms has many outdoor and indoor spots to pick from. This amazing venue has just about everything you need to make your event truly special. We asked owner, Kellie Bryson, some questions about her venue and here's what she had to say:

Tell us about your venue.

Legacy Farms is an all-inclusive venue – it is managed by the team from Main Event Productions – under the Main Event Productions umbrella, we have not only Legacy Farms but also The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair and can assist our clients more completely than most venues. Since we have included major details in our packages, our brides are able to shop at one location and have the wedding handled completely.

We do require the use of a full service, professional wedding planner for all weddings. We have found that the event flows more smoothly when a pro is involved.

Legacy Farms consists of multiple wedding sites – each with a different feel and our brides usually have a different vision for each area. The Manor was built in the 1830’s and can accommodate more intimate weddings – approximately 50 guests. The Event Center can accommodate up to 350 guests in 1 room and has an adjoining patio area for guests to flow. The Bar-B-Q Pavilion can handle a few hundred guests in the rustic pavilion setting.

What makes your venue different from other venues?

Our onsite event team makes planning with much less stress. We will handle the rentals, the food and beverages, the flowers and other details necessary for a great event.

We allow the bride and groom to bring their own alcohol – saving many dollars!

What is the history of your venue? (How did it get started, etc)

The venue operated as a special event venue from 1998 until it closed in 2009. We purchased the property at auction at the end of 2010, updated the Event Center extensively during the winter and have exceeded our anticipated schedule of weddings. Brides have been looking for this type of venue and we have been blessed with many reservations!

What are some of your wedding and reception options?

We have packages that include ceremony and reception or reception only.

Does your venue require use of your preferred vendors, or are brides free to bring their own?

We have assembled a fine team of professional wedding vendors – the team members have been in the industry for many years and have worked with Main Event Productions team many times before joining the Legacy Farms team. We do allow brides to buy out the venue – and then they can use their choice of professional wedding vendors. We also allow brides to substitute services as well. For instance, if they had their own florist before booking Legacy Farms, we would allow them credit for the floral portion and they could use that credit for different upgrades – so they can use their favorite vendor but not lose any money!

In your opinion, which event (or type of event) has most creatively taken advantage of your venue, and what made that event a success?

It continues to amaze me – we offer packages – most brides have chosen our Diamond level package -- and because we offer so much flexibility in the package – no 2 weddings look alike. I really stress to the team that we do not want to be offering cookie cutter weddings – that we want each and every wedding to have the bride’s unique personality shining thru the event. In many ways, it would be easier to say to a prospective bride “ we only do the ceremony this way or that way” but we do not want to stifle their creativity. The weddings from 2011 have all stood out – each on their own – it has been a fun year.
