This Vedor Spotlight is highlighting Kirsten Agresta Copely, a local harpist! She has performed all over but Nashville is lucky to have her now! Her resume speaks for itself as she has played in a numerous variety of settings and with a wide range of people. To name a few, Kirsten has played with Beyonce at the White House, in movies such as "Sex and the City 2" and alongside artists like Adam Levine, Kanye West and Alicia Keys- just to name a few. What made you go into the business of harp playing?

I started playing the harp when I was five years old. I fell in love with it immediately and knew I wanted a performing career from an early age. The harp is such a versatile instrument and I'm always looking for opportunities to promote it in new ways.

I've soloed at Carnegie Hall four separate times to playing at The White House with Beyoncé for the Second State Dinner.

Do you only play weddings?

I play everything from wedding ceremonies, receptions, bridal luncheons and brunches, to corporate and special events, galas, and benefits. I also have a private harp and piano teaching studio, do session work, backup pop artists such as Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Alicia Keys and Enya, and perform regularly with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.

What are some of the options you offer?

In addition to solo harp, I can offer duos, trios, and even harp with DJ. The acoustic instrument is perfect for weddings and more intimate gatherings, however I also provide amplification for larger or more modern musical events.

I love to work individually with brides (and grooms!) to choose the perfect songs to reflect their personality and dream day. I offer options from Bach and Pachelbel to Stevie Wonder and Rihanna!

What are the normal types of weddings or events that you play?

Everything and anything! The harp can provide a traditional or more modern musical ambience for any wedding or event.
