Today we want to introduce a wonderful catering company for our vendor spotlight.  Flavor Catering is a catering company in Nashville and Franklin that is know for creating unique dishes for any occasion.  With their customizable menus and venue help, this company offers more than just an ordinary caterer.  Explore their website and check out how the answered some of our questions.  Their food photographs look delicious!

How did you get into catering?

After attending culinary school, I was given the opportunity to go to work for a catering company that catered for movies and concerts traveling across the country. Traveling from state to state, I was able to learn more about food style and preparation from different cities including Baltimore, L.A., Tucson, San Francisco, and others. Given the celebrities that we catered for, I learned first hand on how to deal with even the most "intense" personalities and dietary restrictions. Serving on site also taught me how to thrive in the most challenging of locations and conditions. Cater in the desert? No problem. Serve breakfast on top of a snow covered mountain? Sounds like fun.

What are some different options for catering that you offer brides?

We really are driven by the client; offering everything from action stations, family style service, plated dinners, on-site preparation to buffet service. Our strength lies in a style of food preparation that is approachable but with flavors that are memorable all at a price that is reasonable.

What are some new things you are working on for 2012?

We are really enjoying family style service right now. This allows for the kitchen to shine in the way of presentation as well as the servers providing intimate service to the guests. We have been expanding our menu in the area of petite desserts, pastries, small bites, and even playing with a little Sushi.

What are you seeing as popular in catering in 2012?

One bite apps. Everything taken from standard size and prepared in a one bite form. Big flavors and great presentation all presented in a petite form.

What catering trends do you wish would die?

Chocolate Fountains - they kinda gross me out just a little bit

Tell me why brides should choose Flavor Catering?

Our strength lies in our desire to customize every detail to the couples preference. The thing that we hear over and over is that our staff are just really nice people and the food tastes good not just at the tasting but also at the event.
