The weekend is almost here, yay!! So today we are featuring Claudia Kay Photo a Nashville wedding photographer.

How did you get into photography?

I originally went to college for a degree in Advertising and during the process I started taking a few photography classes. I loved being able to tell a story without any words. I’m naturally more of a listener than a talker so finding this new way to share a story was exciting to me. When I started to learn more about photography I learned more and more about myself and my passion for storytelling. Being able to photograph weddings is the ultimate story telling for me.

What do you love about photography?

I love that you can take 5 people out to the same location with the same cameras, and each person will come back with different photos. When you photograph a person or a location, whatever it is, you’re showing your perspective and the way you see that person or place.

What would you say is your photography style?

My style is fun, romantic and colorful. My shooting approach is very subtle. I mentioned earlier that I’m more of a listener, and I shoot weddings this way too. I like getting a range of photos. I make sure to get the classic portraits but my favorite shots are when you don’t know I’m shooting and I get to capture the true and more intimate moments.

Do you shoot digital or film?  Digital

Tell us why brides should choose you to capture their wedding day.

I truly love what I do. I treat every wedding as if it’s my own wedding day. I shoot weddings because I love it. I invest myself into each and every couples wedding. I want each couple to be excited about being able to look back on their photos in 50 years and still be able to feel the same emotions they had on their wedding day.
