Vendor Spotlight: Cedarmont Farms
Tell us about your venue. Cedarmont Farm is a 50 acre property highlighted by an antebellum home built in 1815. The property features a beautiful pond with fountain, three barns, historic mansion, as well as rolling fields and large reflecting pool with stone deck.
What makes your venue different from other venues?
Cedarmont Farm is a boutique wedding venue so we are more concerned with the quality of our events than the quantity. We would much rather have a few beautiful weddings that our clients are 100% happy with than a lot of events that all end up looking and feeling rushed.
What is the history of your venue? (How did it get started, etc.)
I grew up on the property and started working in events. When the property was not being used by my family as much and all the kids had grown up and moved on, I realized it would be the perfect venue for weddings and events.
What are some of your wedding and reception options?
We have three different all inclusive packages for weddings and receptions but we also offer the venue for ceremonies only or receptions only and we rent out the property a la carte as well.
Does your venue require use of your preferred vendors, or are brides free to bring their own?
We have a list of preferred vendors but brides may bring their own as long as we approve them.
In your opinion, which event (or type of event) has most creatively taken advantage of your venue, and what made that event a success?
Weddings that move around the property. A ceremony at the pond or in the fields, a cocktail hour by the pool and then a reception on the front lawn in front of the historic house. The guests get to see the size and beauty of the entire property that way.
