Happy Tuesday wedding enthusiast! Photographers have become one of the first vendors brides are starting to book when planning their wedding. It's important to chose someone that best fits your style. Today we are featuring Joe Hendricks Photography, see if they fit your wedding style. How did you get into photography?
I got into photography right before I enlisted into the Navy. When I walked onboard the aircraft carrier, I was asked what I want to do…. I told them "I want to be a Photographer more than anything in the world!". They sent me to the photo lab and I've been a photographer ever since. While there, I was responsible for documenting life onboard our ship out at sea, shooting everything from an award ceremony to F-18 fighter jets taking off on the flight deck! It was a pretty amazing job!
What do you love about photography?
I love how photography forces me to look at the world in a completely different way than anyone else would look at it. Put a camera in the hands of 5 different people and you will get 5 very different shots ;) It still blows me away that you can be in the middle of an ugly place and make it look beautiful through the lens.
What would you say is your photography style?
I don't fit into a "style", but you can be sure you will get a "Joe Hendricks" look when you get your picture taken with me ;)
Do you shoot digital or film?
100% digital. I shot film 10 years ago and appreciate it, but digital allows me to constantly experiment, try new things, and take a lot more chances on every shoot.
Tell us why brides should choose you to capture their wedding day.
Because I am the hardest working Wedding Photographer in Nashville. What a lot of people don't realize (until they go on a shoot with me) is that I'm fast! I know what I'm doing, so my shots take seconds to set up and then I'm off to the next shot. I wish brides could "test drive" photographers, because only then would you see the difference between a good Wedding Photographer and a great wedding photographer ;)
