Vendor Spotlight-Kristyn Hogan

I love that we get to share and talk about all the fabulous photographers we have in Nashville. So today we are featuring, Kristyn Hogan  She has a great style of photography and has really been doing this for awhile. How did you get into photography?

I used to take "wedding photos" in my backyard when I was 10 years old. I'd make my younger siblings and the neighbor kids dress up in blankets & school uniforms and pose for me with my little film camera. I think I might have been born a wedding photographer :) I started shooting REAL weddings when I was 18 and have loved these past 8 years doing something I truly love. And I get to work with my husband which makes it even more fun!

What do you love about photography?

Photography preserves something of our lives that we otherwise could never hold onto. I love that I can look at a photo taken of my husband and I when we first started dating or on our wedding day or from a vacation we took to Europe...and immediately remember what that moment felt like, I can be there again.

What would you say is your photography style?

My logo says "SPIRITED FRESH TIMELESS" and we carry that through every single image we take. I want the memories we capture for our couples to stand the test of time and to feel honest and true to the person and the moment at all times.

Do you shoot digital or film?

I learned the art of photography in the dark room shooting film, so while we shoot all our weddings digitally, we like to keep the integrity and classic style of truly capturing a moment.
