Vendor Spotlight-Nashville Event Lighting
This Thursday we are spotlighting Nashville Event Lighting, a lighting company with plenty of unique and beautiful pieces. Abi the Custom Sales Designer answered some questions for us about the rentals they offer and their work with brides. The pictures I posted are just a taste of what they can do so be sure to look at their site for more! What type of rentals do you offer?
We are a full service event lighting company. We specialize in customized event lighting designs but do offer full service AV and rental for select lighting fixtures and AV equipment.
Explain the process of working with a bride on rentals.
Our process in working with brides is to first set up a consultation either here at our office or at the venue site. Either myself or our other Sales Designer Liz Bok, would develop a lighting plan based on the client's vision. Our goal is to highlight and compliment the other event elements and not compete. Once we develop a lighting plan with the client, we continue to gather details up until the wedding date. Specifics include number of guest tables for pin spots, quantity of food service tables will need to be lit, colors, patterns for gobos, layouts, and power supply for other vendors involved. Yes, we need to know all power requirements, because we distribute all power on site to ensure there are no issues on the day of the event (like having too much power being pulled from a single circuit).
What sets your company apart from other rental companies?
We feel that what sets us apart from other companies in this field is our emphasis on customization and our commitment to customer service. Each bride and groom should feel that their event is tailored uniquely towards their vision rather than a package design. We also make sure that each client walks away feeling that we gave them 100% in service from beginning to end.
What are some trends you are seeing at ceremonies/receptions?
Trends that we have noticed this year are chandeliers and custom lighting fixtures. Over the past 2 years we have significantly increased our chandelier inventory and created several custom lighting fixtures. Brides have loved having multiple chandeliers over their dance floors, alters, and head tables. Attached are a few photos. Edison bulbs and exposed bulbs have also been trending with our custom lighting fixtures. We are using things like whiskey barrels, ladders, and custom 5ft metal rings to display these bulb drops. We've also hung them independently over spaces as well as in tight clusters.
What are you favorite venues to work with?
Some of our favorite venues to work in are: Houston Station, Belle Meade Planation, Country Music Halle of Fame, War Memorial, Ruby, Carnton Plantation, and Aerial. Each of these venues have their own unique character.
