Vendor Spotlight-Mandy Whitley Weddings

For today, we will be looking at the beautiful photography by our lovely photographer Mandy, of Mandy Whitley Weddings. How did you get into photography?

I actually got started photographing weddings after my own wedding. I always had an interest in photography and was always the one photographing every event & birthday for friends and family. After I got married I starting asking my photographer about the wedding and photography business and eventually ended up working with her as a second shooter. Those experiences were so important to me and helped me learn the different aspects of wedding photography. I just fell in love with it!

 

What do you love about photography?

I love being a part of such a happy occasion for a couple and their families. I really enjoy how you are not only capturing their wedding day, but you get to be with them that day as well. You are experiencing one of the most important days in their lives with them.

 

What would you say is your photography style?

My favorite photos have a very natural look. I want the the emotion of the day to show through in the images. A love working in natural light and try to promote and capture genuine interaction between the bride & groom.

Do you shoot digital or film?

Digital

Tell us why brides should choose you to capture their wedding day.

My goal on a wedding day is to tell the story of that day for my couples. I also really want my couples to have fun and feel as stress free as possible!

Something else I always strive to do is communicate well with my wedding couples and their vendors. Great customer service is something I always want to give my couples.>

Favorite Song Right Now That's a tough one! I think my new favorite is Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye. Don't ask me to pronounce the band's name though :)
