Hollywood Themed Nashville Wedding
This weeks wedding is from our planner Debbie Garcia, and it's her very own wedding! She took her skills and pulled off a Hollywood Themed Wedding, under budget. Here is what she had to say about the wedding: The colors were black and white and only used red flowers.
The ceremony took place at Holy Name Catholic Church in East Nashville. The guests were given a show of Theater singers singing broadway style songs that meant something to Debbie and Carlos.
Debbie did not have bridesmaids instead she had her two brother stand next to her as "Men of Honor" and her 1 year old nephew as the ring bearer. All three walked down the aisle together.
After the ceremony, pictures we done at Event on 3rd in Printers Alley. The venue lends to their theme of black, white and red. Cocktails began at 5pm at the Hilton Garden Inn-Vanderbilt on Broadway. The Penthouse ballroom looks over downtown Nashville for a beautiful Hollywood feel. A movie poster of the couple was at the front lobby of the hotel, telling guests where to go.
Guests were greeted by a red carpet area where pictures were taken of them in front of a step and repeat banner with the couples names and date. Guests also picked up their movie ticket or escort cards to tell them their table numbers. They corresponded with the frames on the tables that had pictures of the couple from a film noir photo shoot with made up movie titles based on film noir films of the 30's.
Doors opened and guests found their seats to clapboard picture frames that will house the pictures from earlier that were being printed. The couple danced their first dance to a duo of friends playing "Luckiest" by Ben Folds.
The tables had beautiful red centerpieces in 3 different designs.
Best man made a wonderful speech followed by the Men of Honor who did more or a comedy routine. Then they cut the 2 tiered cake and opened up a table set with many desserts. Dancing and Karaoke then took over the night.
