Vintage New Year’s Eve Nashville Wedding
Today's wedding comes from Modern Vintage Events. They designed a fabulous New Year's Eve Wedding for a sweet couple. Here are the details: In December, New Year’s Eve to be exact, we did the design for a wedding with the sweetest couple, Ashley and Eric. They met while they were missionaries in different countries and dated long distance. They were so easy going and loved each other so much. It was really cool to hear about all the traveling they had both done and to see them both together in the same country.
Ashley said she loved traveling, photography and reading and wanted a vintage glamorous feel. We tried to incorporate all those elements and we were really happy with the result.
The church where they got married is so beautiful, with ornate stained glass windows lining the sanctuary. We lined the aisle with lanterns on vintage books and rose petals.
Their wedding colors were plum and silver with red accents which worked perfectly for New Year’s Eve. They had really fun personal touches, Ashley made her own lace bouquet and they used her wedding journal as a guestbook.
At the reception there was a book that Eric had written and had bound journaling their relationship. In the end of the book was his proposal. Ashley’s dress came all the way from Poland as was another touch of their widely traveled relationship.
For the centerpieces we used vintage books and tied them with red raffia. We spray painted little vases and taper candle holders in silver and plum and place silver and plum Christmas ornaments on the table. It was topped off with an assortment of vintage cameras and voila, vintage elegance. We added Gerber daisies to be our pop of red on the tables.
They ended their night with a root beer toast at the strike of Midnight and started their year as husband and wife.
