Real Wedding from Natural Elegance Events | Southern Style Meets Tuscan Charm at Villa Terrace and The University Club of Milwaukee: Ashley & Dan’s Wedding

Ashley and Dan were such a fun couple to plan with. They had complete trust in their creative team and weren't afraid to think outside of the box. From the moment Ashley and I connected, I knew how important the wedding’s aesthetic was to her. Inspired by the time she spent in both Tuscany and Texas, Ashley wanted the wedding to blend southern style and Tuscan charm.

With the couple wanting to host their wedding in Milwaukee, we needed to find local spaces that would transport their guests to these destinations. Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum gives all the al fresco Italian vibes while The University Club of Milwaukee is full of intricate southern charm.

To create a cohesive feel between these two spaces, we incorporated colors seen in each of the venues. The color palette was made up of neutrals and soft pastels. Warmer peaches, yellows, and pinks were balanced by cooler blues and purples.

Design is all about telling a story. For weddings, this means incorporating intentional moments that represent the couple and their life together. My personal favorite touch for Ashley and Dan was Hunter’s Cabin, a supper club lounge dedicated to their adorable pup. We included a whiskey-tasting bar and Hunter-approved snacks, including Swedish fish to pay homage to his favorite toy, “the trout”.

Ashley and Dan’s room reveal was such a special moment. Both of their faces lit up when they saw the vision we had been building come to fruition. What a joy it is to be able to share those moments with my clients and create a day that they will never forget!
