Planner Profile: Christina Logan Design
Today we are spotlighting our member Christina Logan Design! This planning was founded in 2012 by Christina Logan.
Weddings are about bring together all the people you love, and sharing in the celebration of your union. We believe in creating beautiful, timeless events, and taking the stress off of our clients so they can focus on being present in the moment. This should be the best day of your life and you don't want to miss it.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I think my favorite thing about my job is the ability to help make someone calm. To really listen to them, to let them air out their feelings and vision and nerves, and then to help them put it all aside and move forward. To show them that it's not all about doing everything in one month, but about enjoying the process, having fun with it, and taking one day at a time to get to the altar.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by the end goal. I am a "doer", and I enjoying helping people get to their destination. I like to solve puzzles, I like to be organized, I'm good at numbers, and I LOVE beautiful things. Events are like a long puzzle that you're trying to work all the pieces into, without getting overwhelmed by it. To me, it is a challenge and so fun to help fit the right pieces together for each new client! So the satisfaction of helping them along the way is what keeps me moving and having fun doing it!
Why should couples choose you?
I feel so honored by any couple that chooses to work with us, because it is a big decision. We are the ones you're with the most throughout the process. There are a lot of emails and calls and meetings and at lot of trust involved here. I love to make my clients feel confident and safe. I want them to know if they are (or aren't!) making the right decision, and how we can make their ideas work in reality. I want to help guide them to find which answer is best for them, because it is their wedding, not mine. And at the end of the day, I truly believe it is going to be the best day of your life!
What is one of the biggest or most important lessons you've learned since becoming an entrepreneur?
To think twice before I make any action. At the end of the day, my name is my brand; I can't hide behind a big company if I say the wrong thing, so I have to be very deliberate with my decisions and actions and make sure I can stand behind them. I always want to be proud of myself and my company thinking we took the professional path.
Where’s the craziest place you’ve ever worked?
An outdoor wine tasting room up in the Malibu mountains. Of course managing a wine tasting room has a lot of challenges with people drinking starting at 10am - but the outdoors environment was a life of it's own. One day I opened the shack up and there was a rattle snake greeting me inside the bar! We had all kinds of elements out there, but it made it exciting!
On my days off you can find me…
Taking walks, being outside with my family, eating outside (can you tell I like the outdoors) and reading a book. Of course if it's summer, I LOVE to go to the pool and have some cocktails!
I’m dying to take a trip to…
South America! I would love to go to Brazil. I love the Latin culture and have never explored this part of the world before!
If you owned a restaurant, what food would it serve?
California Cuisine - fresh grown veggies, light fare with a lot of seafood options with a baja California influence.
