A Real Wedding with a Big Surprise by Events by Briana
Liz and Brad met in college and dated over a decade before they finally decided to say their I Dos. In early 2019 they started the wedding process and unfortunately faced all the difficulties that COVID brought to the wedding industry a year later.
Covid did not stop them from tying the knot on their original wedding date, which was also the 75th wedding anniversary of the bride’s grandparents. It also did not stop them from celebrating with all their friends and family a year later.
As a planner I do not like any unanticipated events or surprises to take place unless specified by the bride or groom, however an opportunity came to light and I started planning. I received a phone call from a friend, who also happened to manages the band Parmalee to ask if I could arrange for the band to crash a wedding to preform their wedding song “take my hand”.
I knew right away Liz and Brad deserved such a special treat. On the day of their wedding the band showed up and played their hit for the couples “second” first dance as well as their other hit songs.
It was an incredible moment and experience for the guests. What a night!
