Vendor Spotlight-Stoveworks

Good morning everyone! Today we are honored to feature Stoveworks. They serve up their delicious and authentic Southern cooking in the historic Factory in Franklin. Here’s a little more about Stoveworks from Catering Manager Breigh:

How did you get into catering?

I got involved in the event management business after college as I really love creating experiences that people can hold on to. I think it is a really remarkable opportunity to help make a memory by paying attention to the details that will all work together to make a function meaningful. This love for events has allowed me to work in a variety of different roles within this industry from venue management to talent booking to catering to overall event management. In each role, I just love being a part of creating a moment in time that will mean something to the people that are in attendance.

What are some different options for catering that you offer brides?

I think where Stoveworks is really a wonderful option for brides because we give each bride specialized attention and we have a wonderful array of options to help create an event that is customized to the couple. Beyond that, we have a varied menu so, in many case, brides may decide to work with us for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception and we can offer two different culinary experiences but they only have to work with one caterer which certainly helps when you have so much to manage for your wedding weekend.

What are some new things you are working on for 2012?

We continue to work to create unique and fun catering options all the time and this next year will be no different! We have a wonderful Chef who knows what is on-trend in catering and also has some unique ideas of his own so we always have great, new options for brides to consider.

What catering trends do you think we’ll see in 2012?

I think people have really moved away from “safe” menus and really exploring fun options. This has led to people really indulging their palette and finding options that suit their specific taste and sharing that with their guests. I think this is a neat way for those throwing the event to put a unique, personal twist on their event.

What catering trends do you wish would go away?

In keeping with the answer to the last question, I love that people are moving away from the status quo options and instead working to create a menu that they are excited about and that they’ll love and that their guests are bound to love as well.

Why should brides choose Stoveworks?

Stoveworks treats each bride as a unique indivudual and we believe that her experience should be customized to reflect that. Stoveworks has a tremendous menu with a wide variety of options to provide the happy couple and their guests with food and beverages that enhance their experience on that special day. Beyond that, we have a really wonderful team of people that will work directly with the bride to make sure that her experience is carefree and enjoyable!

December Group Meeting

I think for the December Group Meeting we wanted something different than past group meetings. So we decided to do a dinner for the planners. Dana Patel the catering director at Sambuca Nashville, approached us about having one of meetings there, so we had to take her up on it. Our group meetings aren’t complete without a fabulous photographer, we choose Jen Creed to take these really great pictures for us!!

After booking Sambuca we thought we should surprise the planners with this dinner. In order to truly surprise them, we needed a way to get them there without telling them. So we contacted Melissa with Grand Avenue. Melissa thought it was a great idea, to showcase there cars. We had the planners all meet at a certain location and were greeted by the Party Bus!!

The planners were so excited when we arrived at Sambuca.

Sambuca’s newly renovated terrace was so gorgeous!!

I really love the lounge area, that they setup for us!!

The dinner Sambuca provided was delicious.

We truly appreciated all the planners that were able to attend and have fun with us!

The planners throwing up the wedding sign, haha!!

Thank you again to all the vendors that participated and helped us create this fabulous night for our planners!

Weekly Wedding Roundup

Happy Friday Wedding connoisseurs!

This week in Wedding Wonderland we were excited to feature many great vendors!

On Monday, we learned about The Nashville Wedding Planners Group, that was started by Tiffani Helms of Creative Designs and Events and Jennifer Hamilton of Mr. & Mrs. Weddings and Events and of their mission to create a group for local Wedding Planners in Nashville.

This week, we explored the wonderful land of cakes as pops, with Nashville Cake Pops! These delicious and unique treats are just the right amount of cake and there are tons of delectable flavors to choose from!

Our Planner tip of the week came from Tiffani Helms, Co-founder of the Nashville Wedding Planners Group and owner of Creative Designs & Events. Creative Designs & Events is a Nashville based wedding planning company that specializes in creating a stress-free wedding day.

And finally, on Thursday, we were wowed by Kristen Steele of Kristen Steele Photography. Kristen built her business on philosophies such as gathering inspiration from everywhere, making photo sessions fun, and making people laugh!

Thank you so much to our vendors this week! We can’t wait to see what next week holds!

Vendor Spotlight- Kristen Steele Photography

Good morning Wedding aficionados! Today we are excited to feature Kristen Steele of Kristen Steele Photography! Here’s what she had to say about the business:

How did you get into photography?

I started out doing fine art travel photography, and then after doing an internship in college as a wedding planner I realized my love for wedding photography! Being able to document the beginning of a couple’s marriage story is such a blessing to me — to get to know them, to capture their engaged love.

What do you love about photography?

Photography to me is such a gift. I am so thankful that I get to become a part of your family on one of the most important days of your life. Photography is documenting treasured moments that you will want to share with your family. I get to help you tell your story.

What would you say is your photography style?

My photography style is candid and FUN! I love to capture a couple’s unique personality and we always have LOTS of fun doing it! I help to infuse energy and excitement into the photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Do you shoot digital or film?

I shoot digital!

Tell us why brides should chose you to capture their wedding day:

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” — Aaron Siskind

I believe that you should take the time to document your life’s moments through photography. Your family will cherish those images forever. I am blessed to help you create art and family heirlooms.

My Philosophies:

  • Make people laugh
  • Photo sessions should be fun
  • Never stop learning
  • Inspiration is everywhere
  • Keep promises
  • Never stop dreaming

“So those are the straight-forward reasons, but I love to have FUN and enjoy sharing in your wedding day with you! If all of this sounds right up your alley, we should setup a time to meet! :)”

Make sure to check out Kristen’s website! Thanks again NWPG followers! Until tomorrow!
